I want a log in, but am torn about having it be the lily pad one, or the regular ones for PA or EMG-zine, or having it be a serparate one. If it uses ones from before it would be easier, and bypass needing to make up yet another password...Hmm.
I really feel that you shouldn't have an absolute limit on prompts. Specify a guideline, sure, but I don't think that there should be a feature that prevents more than a certain number of prompts per person.
If you go with openID, would you make EMG accounts usable with openID? (I don't and am not likely to have a lilypad account, so I prefer not that. But I am a first-time player.)
What is the intended function of claiming prompts, given that multiple people can claim the same prompt and that not all claims will turn into sketches (given the timelimit and so forth)? I was not claiming, as I wasn't sure I was going to turn any given idea into something, and was not clear if that meant I was Doing It Wrong.
Is there a suggested mode for posting finished pieces started at sketchfest? Is that something you'd want to support on the sketchfest site?

Claiming is so that other artists know who is working on what, so we could spread the sketchy love around. I like to know what isn't being done, and I also like to see what prompters "need" a sketch, so they feel welcome, and so that I can do my random die roll with 6 individuals rather than having the odds in one persons favor. Usually I only claim if I intend to do something for that prompt. A few time I wasn't sure what I was going to do at first, but then figured it out.
It would be cool to have a "finished sketches" area, so folks could see what ennded up happening to the rough beginnings.
A well-thought-out response. As someone who was alerted to the Sketch Fest by a friend who participated in July (I missed registering by only a couple of hours =( ) I am eager to take part in the August event. I've been combing the EMG site, Livejournal, etc. so I can get a basic understanding of how to register, claim, submit, etc. As someone currently viewing this issue from the outside I would vote for simplification and inclusion. Anything that makes it easier to get in and navigate will be more encouraging to newcomers like me.
I do not have an OpenID...um...ID, but I would be willing to create one for this. I just want to understand the hows and wheres in time for August. =)
I just voted fantastic poll ellen :) I dont mind registering , i voted for the option to have a separate registration just for sketch fest, maybe we can have reregistration for artists illustrating and have non-registration for all prompters who sometimes want to leave ideas anonymously especially if they are not artists.
