I've just rediscovered the utter aceness that is snail mail. This month I am mostly trying to be less rubbish in terms of keeping in contact with longer distance friends, emailing people I'll suddenly realise I haven't spoken to in a good long while and whatnot. However, a few surprise letters I've received within the past three weeks-one being ( Read more... )

I find it ludicrously exciting. Receiving a pretty envelope always takes me back to my pre-teen days of every afternoon returning from school to find a letter waiting. I wish I had the motivation to get back into it properly.
Actually seeing someone's handwriting makes all the difference, doesn't it?

That's why I adore thriftstore! In the end I had to take it off my friendslist, it was eating into my life.

I don;t force you to stay in the emo room! It's just that it's the only room that me and kate agree on, I;d much rather stay in the main room :-)

Ahh, I know you don't really. In actual fact, the emo room suddenly becomes a lot less scary when you're there, mostly because you're the type the floppy haired masses wouldn't dare look at the way most of 'em looked at me last week! It's only when you're not there doing your whole hardcore schtick that the scene kids dare to noticeably object to my flawless style and my inarguably spectacular melodramatic dancing.

And on that note, Kenny has informed me that the gig next month is a mere fiver, should you wish to purchase your tickets from the Union. C'mon, you know it makes sense! I am seriously beginning to question what it is I'm letting myself in for, and so it would be nice to have someone there to bump the amount of non 'orrible kid types in the entire venue up to approximately four.

Ooh, I'd love a postcard - if it's not too much trouble! The only things I ever seem to receive at the moment are threatning letters telling me how much interest is accumulating on my student loan, so t'would be a nice change! Qu'est ce que c'est your email address so I can drop you a line?

Of course! I'm at pieupinthesky@gmail.com.

You know what, you've just reminded me that I was going to send you, erm, a New Year card all those months ago...! I humbly apologise, but I'm afraid all I can offer by way of explanation is I actually lose track of where my own head is most of the time. But fear not, this will actually get to you, promise!

Zebra print faux fur edging. Make it happen, and maybe I'll consider bringing on the festivities.
