My neighbour of 26 years died a few days ago, and his funeral was today. I wasn't able to attend, due to work commitments. Well, that's not entirely true, I probably could have asked my boss for the time off, but I don't like funerals having had to go to so many in my lifetime. Random observations
When out shopping the other day I watched a woman walking down the aisle. She was not attractive. Not ugly, not "oh my god my eyes" or anything, just not someone you would look at and say she was pretty.
I imagined her life, as I tend to do a lot when out shopping. This may explain why I forget to buy things a not. Anyway.

Back in the bend
Tonight I went back to yoga, after a long absence. I find that when I've been away for a while I enjoy it even more, like a long drink of water when thirsty. That said, after not being there for a while my flexibility is not what is was. So many things have happened since last I wrote in here. An entire relationship has been and gone, a new (amazing) one started, I now work full time, and a friendship that I thought would never end, has. There have been births, two trips overseas, weight loss and gain, a football team and a then new football team! I think I'll have to tackle these ( Read more... ) -

Sod it. I can't remember back that far! The parade was fun, although my foot was killing me, and handing out lollies and flyers and stuff is really hard work! I tried to be fair about it but it was difficult. I think for the Christmas Parade maybe just flyers and hats would be easier... oh well. Mayors Ball, Bundy in Bloom, and a shitty work week..
I had mixed expectations for the Mayor's Ball, and for a slightly manic depressive person such as myself it was fraught with danger... if it was bad i'd be crushed, but if it was good, i'd fall into the next day blues after looking forward to it for so long. It is said that happiness is the absence of pain, that god gave us sadness so we can know joy, and I understand this. Most people do, albeit sometimes briefly.
