I haven't posted in a long time, but we have been very busy with work and Shep classes lately!

Shep is gorgeous! He looks like he's doing really well.

Regarding "click to calm" -- I think a lot of people do the principles of clicker training but use a vocal marker. I've never been able to handle treats + dogs + clicker so I use "clicker training" but with a vocal marker. So maybe you can just keep with "yes!" instead?

Thanks so much. I think he's gorgeous too, but I am biased, of course! :)

That's basically what we've done from the beginning was use "yes" as a marker, but I'm wondering if he would respond better to an actual click. Or if maybe I can relate click to calm with the clicker so he knows the difference. Not that there needs to be one! Haha, I don't know. I guess I'll have to play around with it!

I love Shep's enthusiasm for agility! good boy. The rest will come, but you want to make sure the FUN remains, or you'll get a slow and nervous dog. Enjoy!

Enthusiasm is an understatement! His excitement does quickly turn into dog aggression, which is why we have ordered Control Unleashed. But he seriously has so much fun doing it! I have some equipment in the backyard, but still need a tunnel to complete my set! :)
