That's a great idea. Another thing to inquire about would be vitamin B-6 supplements; I was in a car wreck several years ago, and had some back strain and when it was not healing quite as fast as he'd have liked my doctor recommended B-6, and it really seemed to help.
It's a scan of a polaroid the aid people gave me to take to the hospital to show the doctors "this is what happened to the car, please guess likely injuries." I was pretty amazed to see just how much everything really folded up.

You might try some glucosamine/chondroitin supplements for a couple of weeks, I like what they do for soft connective tissue.

I'll look into the supplements to be sure there are no interaction warnings with other stuff I take, but thanks for the tip.
