bye-bye, Chloe.
Took Chloe in to the vet today and said our goodbyes. The doctor was really surprised at how quickly the stuff took, said "she was really ready to go." Yesterday we bought a day's worth of her favorite food flavor, figuring it didn't mater if she got used to it (which used to happen when we'd give her the same thing too often). racing the yarn
Doing the border on the shawl for kathrynt. It's handspun and not 100% consistent, so yardage and weight might not correspond all the way down the ball of yarn, but... I had 16 grams when I started the 9 row (including bind-off) border. I've done 6 rows, and I have 7 grams left. It *should* be enough to finish, albeit barely. So, my mom had an emergency preparedness neighborhood meeting where, among other things, they discussed changing your smoke detector batteries, and how the suggestion used to be to do it at the time change, but that was getting lopsided now. So she said she planned to do hers at the equinoxes, and got a roomful of blank stares ( Read more... ) -
