tonight at work there was as an aveda hair show, a fundraiser for watercan. i had worked 9-6 and was expected to stay til 10 without pay. so basically forced volunteer work. keep in mind i usually work an extra half hour after work without pay. i left at 6. i expect my boss will fire me, what can i do?

legally you cant be forced to stay at work and especially without pay

If he does fire you, and you want to do something about it call the Employment Standards Information Center 1-800-531-5551. You may not want to work there after something like that... but its best to make trouble for them if they are indeed violating your rights :)
