Hi Emma, I've been playing lego dino hunt this evening !

Quetiapine: been on that one. My empathies go out to you. Y'already know by now that if you dissolve it on your tongue it goes numb and you talk oddly as like with a lisp ?

Get through it x

Lego Dino Hunt? That sounds great fun! Do you have a link?

I normally just swallow tablets as quickly as possible, but I might have to try the dissolving thing out for a laugh! The Cipralex makes my lips go numb already so the two together should be interesting. I'm definitely glad I'm on a low dose of the quetiapine (was on 50mg but it was cut down to 25mg in like 2 days because I could barely stay awake). If nothing else it makes me realise why a friend of mine who is schizophrenic has to be monitored in hospital when she changes meds - this stuff must be hell in high doses.

*hugs* Thanks :)

I'm so sorry to hear about Scamp. Those damn tumors...

You'd think if the meds were making you sleepy, you'd have no time to have anxiety. Do you have to be on these meds? Is there a counter-med you can take to balance things out (like...I'm on pills for ulcerative colitis, but also take live "good" bacteria to make sure my intestinal system isn't messed up - I realize this is a physical versus emotional thing, but it does make me feel good anyway).

I am trying out your puzzlefarter link.

Rats seem to be pretty prone to tumours for some reason :( Poor Scamp had months of skin issues before that as well.

I think I still managed to be anxious any time I was awake lol! The side-effect of major sleepiness is supposed to last about 5-7 days, which it did. The only problem is that now I'm not super sleepy any more all my anxiety is back too. The meds did take the edge off it and I only realised that now I'm back to feeling like I'm not taking the meds at all. Does that make sense?

I don't have to be on these meds at all, it is just a trial to see if they can help take the edge of my anxiety and help me to sleep because their main use is for schizophrenia and bi-polar. If they do help then it's more of a temporary thing while I'm on the waiting-list for psychotherapy.

The most worrying thing is that these meds seem to be setting my asthma off and making it hard to breathe. It could be a co-incidence because the pollen count is so high, but it's not nice either way.

:D My best is now level 41. How did you do?

Ha, I only got to level 3 and farted out. Mr Aerama does much better, but nowhere near as good as you yet. Oh, the frustrations undergone with that game! ONE MUST CONQUER IT.

Yeah, rats, what the hell. Always a heartbreak with those little darlings.

Do you want to feel like you're taking the meds, as a kind of trick for the brain, or is it better to feel that you are not? And any asthma can't be tolerated even if it is a coincidence with the pollen. Breathing = being alive to take more meds, and the doc had better do something about it.

I wish being awake didn't also let things come crashing back in. :(

*hugs*

Thanks hon. *hugs* I hope the dose that's best for me will be sorted out soon - I'm not having fun with the side-effects right now.
