youre to elitist to listen to music with passion, and a message, if it isnt sad, melancholy, and acoustic, you won't touch it, open your eye's, err, i mean ears.
First of all, you have no idea what encapsulates the music i listen to, also its not like the plethora of shitty indie bands you listen combined could muster up enough talent to even begin to compare to the likes of The Wailers, The Clash, or even the Souls for that matter, and i won't even begin to talk about the social impact of, lets say, the moldy peaches versus that of Bob Marley, or Joe Strummer, even though they both are dead, they still have a huge impact on people today, how many kids do you think sit down and pick up a guitar and say, "Gee, i wish i could sound like Modest Mouse!", and how many kids sit down and say."I hope to god I can sound like Peter Tosh.", and thats my point, while i'll admit sometimes your music does have more of an impact than a monkey with a tambourine, it lacks message, and its not always just about the music, but the message.
