Prompt: Canon, reaction to whatever happens in the midseason finale. What happens immediately after Callie and Arizona's final scene together?

“Well, that was unexpected,” Arizona remarked once she had caught up to her wife in the reception room ( Read more... )

GAAAAAAHHHH! This took way longer than it should have to read because I had to keep pausing to flail. Reading this fic while listening to Anna's new fan mix made me a very happy girl.

LOVE IT. Can't fully handle the emotions I'm feeling right now. The vulnerability of Arizona taking off her dress and her leg and standing in front of Callie (and Callie assuming she was initiating sex). April stepping up as a friend to tell Arizona to work things out with Callie even though her wedding just feel apart. Christmas morning. I just love it all.

Um, so, I'm gonna go ahead and confess that I thought I'd already responded to the comments and just realized (almost a month later), that I have not...

Thanks so much, lady! I'm really glad you liked it. :) Those things you listed are kind of all things I want to see (minus Christ morning, because it'll be the end of February) when the show comes back. I need need need Arizona to be vulnerable in front of Callie, so I'm happy you liked that. :)

You write Arizona's vulnerability so well. I love the way she tells Callie how she feels and gives her time to think about what she wants, instead of rushing the answer.

“Come with me?”

The old Arizona probably would have demanded that Callie come with her, clutching her hand and dragging her if necessary. But new Arizona was timid and walked on eggshells. ... I love this, so much about Arizona has changed.

Lovely fic!

Thanks so much. I really hope when Grey's premieres in February again that we see some vulnerability and some understanding between the two of them. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Oh I love this so much! It's all I was hoping for and more :D The image of Arizona standing in her underwear in front of Callie and asking if she's enough for her just kills me. And I am so glad that Callie didn't go out and buy a house without telling Arizona (I don't find that romantic at all; I'd be furious if any partner of mine did that to me). Makes me sad that they're retiring the necklaces, but now Arizona has a replacement and she just needs to buy Callie one :)

Thank you for being such a fab Secret Santa! Hope you had a lovely Christmas :)

As I confessed earlier in the comments, I totally thought I'd replied to these comments only to realize later that I definitely had not. :-/

Anyway, I'm so so so glad you enjoyed it! I loved your prompt, because I really like writing canon fics, because it's so much more challenging (the show makes it even more difficult when they keep throwing us wrenches :-P) and their story was left very wide open at the end of the first half of the season. So thank YOU!

And even though I'm ridiculously late, I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year. :)

Wonderful!! Loved the characterizations and the great optimism.
I love when finally someone make my girls talk like adults (differently from canon that is frustrating and painful) and make them both ready to truly invest in their magnificent love through the share of their honest feelings and needs and their love exactely!
Plus it is always wonderful to get a new story from you :)
Thank you.

Thank you so much!!

I guess making them talk like adults doesn't drag out the drama...but it's certainly ridiculously frustrating for us. I'm hoping that the end of February will bring us an honest conversation.
