I can't knit no, I keep meaning to learn though! Maybe this will be one of my first projects when I finally learn though :)

Maybe make it your third or fourth project; there are quite a few skills you need to pick up, but none of them are too taxing once you're used to knitting and you can pick them up from Youtube videos:
Provisional cast on using waste yarn (

Knit,
Purl,

Thanks! Each slipper took about 1.5 - 2 hours, so they knit up relatively quickly. Hurrah!
