I had to put my sweet girl to sleep today. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. She had inoperable cancer in her intestines and I couldn't bear to put her through any suffering because I wanted a few more days to say goodbye

Oh Natalie. I am so so sorry. What a lovely remembrance, though. I never met her but you described her so vividly, so perfectly, I could just feel her purring. *sniff*
Oh, damnit Natalie. I'm crying for you & your loss. Vesta was so lucky that she got you for a mom, and had a life full of so much love & comfort. The day will come when you'll think of her without the crushing sense of loss. It will take time, but it will come. I'm sooo sorry, sweet girl. :(

I will always remember how I would imitate your whistling, and she would run over to me, get kinda close, and then just be PISSED when she realized it wasn't actually you! :)
