In recent years I have become somewhat of a curmudgeonous bah humbuggy old coot when it comes to holidays. I think it's mostly to do with a distancing from my family, not having any family of my own (other than chosen fam who are my lifeline) and no kissyface soulmatey partner to share them with. I set up camp at your house tonight, thinking the kitties would be happy with Jeremy and I hanging out on the couch and keeping them company.... I think it all started out ok but right after I got there, I fed them.... Screech was his usual loud cute piggy self and I was standing near him telling a story when all of a sudden a tablecloth or something from on the table fell on him while he was eating and he WIGGED OUT. He flipped out, swatted my leg, assuming I was the evil beast who had scared him and just sat there hissing and growling at me. It was hilarious. :P Then all night if I walked by him too close he would scream and hiss at me again. The boy has some issues. :P I was like "I was just FEEDING YOU, that's your favorite thing! I even brought you mousies and catnip!" and he just glared and was like "you're in my personal space, lady." :P At least Sephie still loves me. <3 ( ... )
