They address that on their site- they source their peanuts locally in Malawi and take the kind of basic sanitary precautions that would have prevented the US outbreak.

I'm okay. The worst I got from the rain was pretty thoroughly doused on my way to the car after clinical on Thursday.

Given that it's a locally-sourced, locally-produced product that visibly restores 9 out of 10 severely malnourished children to age-appropriate weight and height within 6-8 weeks, I think it's probably all good.

I've also heard, though I don't know if this is true, that the stuff has that gatorade-like property of tasting awful unless you need it, which means it's unlikely to be stolen.
