Ok, if there's one thing all my friends have in common its that they all enjoy reading.  And because you all like to read, you've all probably read some very good things and I want to know what they are.  They don't have to be the greatest things ever written, but something that you've enjoyed and would recommend to someone else, well to me, really ( Read more... )

If you wanna read something uber sad that is good but will make you cry for days I suggest The Time Travelers Wife. I also like Chuck Palahniuk's work, so if you feel like being mentally disturbed I'd say go for some of that. I also recently read Memoirs of a Geisha and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, both of which I enjoyed.

Um.... well, seeing as how I now live in dampville, I could use another set of cute rainboots. And you know me, you can never go wrong with art supplies! I don't know what to give you either... I have some ideas but I'm just not sure!

Um, gift-wise . . . I don't know if you really have time to make anything (I know you're making your mom a sweater) but if you do, long fingerless gloves as seen here would be cool:

you have to scroll down to the Sunday, August 13 post. Though I think they should end right before the elbow and not go past it. I don't want to sound like I'm putting in an order as I always like what you pick out for me. :)

I think the last set of books I couldn't put down was the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman (starting with The Golden Compass, which I believe is called Northern Lights in the UK).

I am going to keep checking this post, because I don't know what to read either, but I love it when I have something good to read. :0)

Heya! Well, you know me, I'm all about the fantasy novels with kick-ass female characters. So recently: 1) Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Interesting take, and the writing is just gorgeous and lyrical and still down earth, as it were ( ... )
