In my experience, most of the couples you see are happy regardless of your situation. After all, don't the majority of fights happen privately? When you're single or in a rocky relationship, you're simply more aware of it because you subconsciously look around for new sigoth candidates.

Umm...about the holding hands thing...I think it's the season. They couples hibernate in the fall and winter. They come back full force in spring and fall. That's my theory.
