   It was the first choice I'd ever been given. Sure I'd been asked a lot of questions to gauge my reaction to carefully controlled stimuli, but never before had I actually had a choice that would effect me later. I'd like to know A) Why he picked the blue pen if there were other color options and B) What the other color options were.

There's a reason for that. Facsimilies and photocopies are generally not in colour. A signature in blue ink generally denotes an original signature (unless of course it was laser-printed using a colour printer).
