The stage is Jack Singer Concert Hall. Beautiful and ornate, it's the perfect concert hall for a soulful string quartet and raging maestro-led orchestra, with tuxedoed socialites clapping delicately after each movement. Y'know, in some regards that's so true. Some bands are very much a kind of 'fuck you, we'll play and that's it' cliquey experience.
i know a lot of metal bands, punk bands... yeah, that's pretty much it. there's no real intimate connection in the audience.

but the shows i've been to as of late, built to spill and k'naan... yeah there was a connection there with some people. it was nice. people interacting, sharing moments... 'twas lovely.

There's a whole section that I excised on interconnection and disconnection in the modern electronic age in there... but decided against it.
