Edit: It's ok, the heat's back on.  Thanks to everyone who offered help.

So, our heat is out. Someone is coming to look at it this afternoon. However, if he is unable to fix it today, that puts us in an unheated house on a night when it is supposed to get down to 27°F, which pushes my borders for unsafe. Experience says your house will hold heat; given today's sun and lack of wind, your temp. won't fall much below 45F by tomorrow morning, particularly if you cook at home using the oven (roast?).

At any rate, our house is far away, but warm...

We are probably much farther than you want to go, but you are always welcome here.

Actually, I just worked out how to do the former, for sure. Y'all have to survive a night in my room, but I know what I can do. (We have a cat.)

I assume you have the water running a little, lest the pipes freeze?

I'd offer a space heater, but somehow I think it would take longer to get there from Maryland than it will take to get the heat fixed.

BCOS has an open-couch policy for awesome people, and y'all qualify.

Oh, actually we have a room in the basement that's free, now I think about it. It would just be an air mattress, but probably better than the couch. We're in Belmont, but bikeable or busable (73) from Harvard Sq.

Email me if you are interested and I'll check with housemates, but it shouldn't be a problem.
