This game made interesting diagetic use of metacongnitive techniques. I enjoy the way that these sorts of techniques are making their way more and more into games that aren't particularly experimental or focused on those techniques.
If you can expand on this in any way - either for this particular LARP, or in general - without spoilers, I'd love to hear more.
Various ways of pulling you out of the character's headspace and making you approach it from another direction. Scenes are definitely the most common one right now, but there are other ones that are floating around. Anything that makes you as a player think about the character's thoughts instead of just playing them. In this case in was mostly the metatheatrical techniques: scenes coming out that caused you to approach the scenario and character from a different direction.
