Well, we made it through another holiday season. It was fun to have the older boys home for a day or two. My hubby is traveling for work again. He will be gone two weeks, most of it spent in Indiana, but he may make a short trip to California. Sigh. The first couple of days are the hardest (but the money's good ( Read more... )

So, here's the scoop. We saved $600 dollars by picking up the swing-set and building it ourselves. That was on Saturday. Now, on Wednesday, we are 3/4 of the way complete. And it is raining. Was it worth the savings? Sure. Even if it takes us six days to finish, that is still a savings of $100 dollars a day. And in spite of the instructions ( Read more... )

well, here is my first journal entry. I'm not used to this, so it might be kind of boring. The good news is that I finally finished chapter eight! It has blogged me down since January, as I was having character trouble. My husband, the sweetie, and I talked her through and I was finally able to complete the scene with Serena firmly in mind.
