I am so~ mad *_* Today, the lecturer announced the names of people who can't take the exam because of low/bad attendance. She also said that these people still have a chance, what they need to do is come up with ~masu, ~te and blablabla forms for about 50 verbs or keep a diary for a week (2 sheets of paper). THAT'S. IT. no assignments, no nothing.

Господи, Ань. Взрослые же люди... Ну не насрать тебе? Это универ, потом каждому все это скажется. На исследовательской, дипломе, какая разница. Вылетят в конце-концов, не будут их так тянуть до последнего курса. Ты тоже можешь не ходить и пропускать лекции, если все потом так просто исправить. К тому же если ты и так ничего нового не узнаешь... ходи сдавай сессии и все.

I'm not sure anymore, I just feel like this financial crisis is making Latvia need professionals/educated people even less than it did before. To think that ~7 years ago Japanese was a separate DEPARTMENT, but now we have to dread the thought that Asian studies might get lumped in the same category as philology and psychology (WHAT?!)...
We were supposed to start the next textbook next semester (which is probably when the course is supposed to change, but I've no idea), but now they're saying that we'll only do it in spring.

on a side note! xD I got seduced by DesTi haha, your card is so awsummm! and that...blue+yellow thingy, don't know what to call it in English! XD thank youuu <3 and err we celebrate the same stuff in winter xDD the only thing is that I belong to the Orthodox Church and our Christmas is on the 7th of January (keeping to the Julian Calendar). But I must confess, Christmas is "meh" for me, I consider the New Year to be the real holiday +) maybe because it comes first XD

word -_- we had a picket on the 2nd (students from all over Riga), people say that the minister of education was so afraid that she didn't even look at them, as if they weren't there. last year she was behaving like a Queen, her nose kissing the sky, telling that this and that needs to be done, students aren't going to die because of that and so on. maybe now she'll give a bit of a thought to this matter.

they want to do such things because hey, less deans, less money! awsum planz, man. our lecturers are 10 times underpaid and the bloody ministers still think that's not enough. at least they have nice salaries and get money for their pock-- I mean, the government budget.
