For those of you vaguely interested here is something similar to the best man's speech I delivered at Ellen & James's wedding a few weeks ago. I'm sure I spotted a typo when I was reading it, eyes downcast, on the day - now if it's there it eludes my skimming. It was spoken in a monotone, I did not look at the crowd once as I was extremely shaky
