B is for Breasts
Of which ladies have two;
Once prized for the function,
Now for the view.

~Robert Paul Smith

Hah!  Do I have your attention yet, flist?  I'm sorry for that, but I'm very amused by the subject of today's random entry:  Breasts.

Warning: If you are uncomfortable with talk of tits and nipples (mine specifically), don't bother clicking. I'm very frank. XD )

random, real life

Dunno, do you think she would get angry at you? :P Acting like you googled it yourself to show her that she was great and wonderful will come off better than you writing me because you were lost. :P

Hm. Yes, boobs are nice.

I mean, compare a male body to a female body...not only are we way better looking naked (no offense, men...), but...yes. Boobs. Lovely things. Women have gorgeous bodies, they really do.

I like my boobs. I would like them bigger, but the bustier of my friends tell me I don't want that. XD I'll just wait until motherhood. Hee.

Yeah. *shrug* I'm not really sure where I'm going with this other than yes, boobs are nice. I find myself staring sometimes at other women's boobs. In admiration. Or jealousy. Or both. Go me. Totally straight, right? Bahahaha. ;)

Love you, Kchan. See you in a few weeks.

LOL! I have a deep fondness for both the male and female body aesthetically and sexually, so I can't agree, but women are certainly softer and more 'beautiful'. Curves are always very graceful on the eyes. ;)

No, you don't want bigger ones. Yours are just fine and, as you said, motherhood will give you a boost anyway. :P Wait out the natural evolution, LOL.

Uhh... yes... because all straight girls check out the boobs of others. XD I think you are about a 1.5 on the Kinsey scale, I'd say. Able to appreciate the same gender and I'm sure there are situations that could cause more than appreciation, but still straight....ish. XD

Mr. Kis is a wise man indeed. I know I've thought so on other input he has given as well way back when, so I have to give him kudos. XD

I'm very sad to hear that you ever had reason to doubt yourself. I know the kind of insecurity that those 'perfect' types can cause for all of the body, but the boobs are such an integral part of our sexuality in our culture. When we focus on them being somehow sub-par... :( It messes with a lot.

But they DO look good. Kate Winslet has an amazing body.

Have you seen her in The Reader? She's aging beautifully.

I know, she's ...probably not even forty yet, but MAN. She's so gorgeous. :) Feel encouraged if yours look like that. XD

I still have problems with this will all aspects of myself. It is very hard to chase something you can never be, and it sets one up for disappointment.

And thus I focus on the small bits that I really like about myself. Like my boobs. XD

I am technically obese (though everyone I ever talk to says I don't look it), and unlike most large women, I do not have big breasts. One of my managers at work, who is pretty much the exact same height and weight and the same age, is a DD cup and I'm a B cup.

So for awhile, I did feel self-conscious about my cup size. Though I did catch a glance at myself awhile ago in the mirror, and realized that I really did like how my boobs looked. It was a revelation in how I viewed my body.

(Though now I just wish I had a size that was easier to buy for? Being a 42B sucks because almost no one carries my size. I either have to go to really expensive bra shops, or buy the wrong size. And plus size clothes shops? I often have issues with tops because they're made for women with larger chests. It's one of my main reasons for wanting to lose weight now - to have an easier time finding clothes. >.o ( ... )

I'm glad you came to realization that your boobs were wonderful. ^^ I was a barely-B until motherhood, and with the largeness of my hips (even as a twig I had 40 inchers) it made me look even flatter. It was very upsetting for me, I assure you. Now I look back and sometimes, no matter how much I love my chest, I wish they weren't in the damned way all the time. :P

Ugh, shopping issues. Very sorry for that. D: I have that problem with my hips (they fit the hips and don't elsewhere, or vice versa) so I do know the annoyance. And clothes really do seem to be made for an ideal, even at plus-sized shops. There is a certain 'kind' of proportion they expect from women, and if you won't fit into it then you're left compensating.

I completely know where you're coming from on the sizing issue though I'm on the other side, I'm a 32G and unless I spend lots of monies finding a bra that doesn't look like its grafted like scaffolding is a pain :P then once you have the bra finding clothes is a pain unless they're from a niche retailer (bravissimo and my starved bank account ftw!). I mean unless I wear clothes that are 2 sizes bigger which make me seem larger than I am or I'm left with clothes that gape and buttons that threaten to fly into the faces of those in near proximity :P That's the reason I feel somewhat uncomfortable about my boobs or rather felt as I feel much more comfortable now. Went to college yay for nakedness and its liberating quality :D

I know from all of the style shows I've watched that they suggest that you dress to fit your breasts, and then get the shirts tailored to fit. ... unfortunately, almost all of the big-breasted women I know don't have a lot of cash to spend, and so this isn't a good option unless it's for something special.

I wish there were more tops that I could wear without a bra. That would solve a lot of problems for me!
