Yesterday I completed the Portland Century. 100 miles by bicycle. As far as events go, it is comparable to a marathon. Keep in mind the first marathon runner, Phidippides, died shortly after running the 26 miles from Marathon to Athens.

Holy crap, that's a lot of riding. We saw a bunch of bikers on Marine Drive and wondered what was going on. Obviously it was a race of some sort with the #'s on peoples backs!

You better be keeping ice on that knee! Ice on and off till about Wednesday then add heat. In fact 10-20 min ice then alternate with 10-20 min heat. That should aid in recovery. I then suggest seeing if you can find a Massage Therapist to do a little work on those legs plus hopefully you are still doing your stretches for that leg.

Aside from that. Fucking rock on! That is an amazing feat no matter what way you slice it.
