I'm surprised this account has not been deleted. I'm still alive. Still sharing my life with the coolest dude. Aquired some more dogs. A new job. And brought my curls back from the dead.

I've been happy and sad and everything in between. But deep down, mostly happy.

My brother changed careers and now has quite a bit of time on his hands so he spends most of it reading. He periodically sends me articles on random stuff, mostly technology or space related topics. Today, he sent me an article on CRISPR and targeted genome editing.

Man, I need to step up my game.

I was at Kroger, buying wine, and the cashier kid asked for my ID. I gave it to him.

He does a double take,and then asks, "are you immortal?"

I'm in New Orleans, taking a nap in my airbnb rental when I am awakened by someone playing the violin in the next room. One would think this is annoying, but I think it's the most beautiful thing. It's raining too.

Jealousy is not something that i feel often. It's an ugly emotion. It takes too much energy to feel jealousy and honestly, i just don't give a poop.

But i was talking with a client the other day and i heard dogs barking in the background. The client says, "my boss lets me bring my dogs to work."

I went to a funeral yesterday. It was for the son of an old coworker. The son was close to my age and died of cancer. While sitting at the service, my heart breaking, all i could think about was the line from What Sarah Said: love is watching someone die ( Read more... )

I just spent a ridiculous amount of money to have my boobs smushed and blasted with xrays. This does not seem fair.

one of my favorite sensations is the feeling I get after having showered from a long day at the beach. Still sensing the heat of the Texas sun on my skin. like a memory.

I plan of spending many skin burning days at the beach this summer. I hope the dogs are ready.
