I have been waiting for some piece of good news to use as a hinge as an update on the condition that my condition is in.

I got a c/t scan yesterday, and the report indicates that the Hodgkin's is on the run. Medical science's efforts to smoke it out of its hole have been successful. If all holds, I will be wrapping up chemo at the end of September.  ( Read more... )

First of all, the good news: the results of my bone marrow biposy are back, and my marrow is Hodgkin's free! This means that this was caught in the early stages, and that is good (less chemo, even better stats ( Read more... )

 The bone marrow biposy and port placement went off without a hitch today. I am sore and still a bit punchy due to the twilight anesthesia, but otherwise am fine.

I begin chemotherapy on Monday, June 23rd.

Well, the process of treatment began today. I am heading down a road that will definitely lead to chemotherapy and radiation.

I have been given an initial diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma that is in stage 1A or 2A (1B or 2B would be a more aggressive form). This needs to go before a council of doctors before being certified, but this is a good ( Read more... )
