I totally agree with your thoughts on the media. I was flipping through the channels last night looking for a movie to watch before falling asleep and I came across a channel (I think it was affilated with CNN) for 'war coverage'. As if we're not already absolutely barraged with news reports on the war and Saadam Hussein and death and killing and greed. It made me sick to my stomach. It's almost as bad (I think) as when CNN put a 'state of war' on their newscasts. How else can the media keep their ratings? They have to instill fear into the average citizen.

This article caught me off guard at first. The head-on tackling of this pervasive element of society is to be commended. I'm taking a course on Dystopian Literature this semester (1984, Brave New World and the like)and I find the similarities between our society and the dystopian societies in literature startling. Porn does nothing but endanger and objectify women, while weakening men's minds.

personaly i dont see too much wrong with porn other than the fact that it is far to readily available to everyone, kids can view it on the internet ect. but maybe that is the parents responsibility to control. People are into all sorts of things sexually that some people might find weird however i think that the bedroom is the one place in life where we should not be judged. Maybe we shouldn't take things so seriously sometimes.

I agree with your views about keeping bedroom life secret and without judgment but there are certain things that are just ethically unacceptable and should not be tolerated within any society. For instance child porn. Real children have to be a part of it whether they volunteer for it or are forced to by uncontrollable circumstances. Yes we shouldnt take things too seriously but there are certain aspects that are just not acceptable within today's society.
