Some of our Iraqi laundry workers were accosted at a fake checkpoint a couple of days ago (Tuesday).

One was either injured and left or killed. Haven’t received a clear answer about him yet. The rest were taken as hostages. More than likely they’ll end up dead. Not sure how I feel about any of this. Well…I guess cold or numb could fit my feelings. ( Read more... )

I’ve found myself more at peace with myself and the world lately.

I was hoping to be able to play Scarface that I had picked up from the hadjis for 2bucks the other day. But, unfortunately it keeps getting hung up. You get what you pay for I guess. He had a few copies so I’ll just swap it out I guess.

1 am, just had some tea and biscuits. Drank a mixture of instant coffee and coke earlier while watching MurderBall. I think it might be wearing off, wasn’t too bad…a bit foamy.

MurderBall is a pretty good flick. I’ve seen it before but I don’t mind watching it repeatedly (within reason). I like movies that try show people spinning a positive light ( Read more... )

You may ask. I honestly don’t know. I’m already experiencing a bit of a loss of sleep so I figure if I try to make a game out of it or try hard enough for it, then my plans will backfire and I will go to sleep.

I forgot how weak I can be at times.

Not a lot of sleep to be had lately. Sleep had always been my crutch or little safety place to retreat too where most times I could forget about my daily worries of this place. If only for a week, it was nice not to have needed it.

This week has been an emotional roller coaster, too much death, be it physical or emotional. Lost four brits this week and two the previous.
