This hike was an absolute highlight of the trip for me. It is just so incredibly pristine and beautiful in the rainforest there and the hiking in that pure air was fantastically rejuvenating. Then the most amazing waterfalls waited for us to swim in at the end of our climb. Simply paradise.

I wish everyone a most happy and blessed inauguration day. While I had no loss of words to describe my delight at being rid of George Bush, after hearing the incredible, visionary inaugural address of our 44th President Obama, I am simply touched to tears.

I just realized that I never posted an entry about my day of apple and pumpkin picking with Janie. We took the Metro North upstate to this orchard out in the sticks. It was a gorgeous day.
