I tend to think that meaning is in the eye of the beholder. The most piquant of life's jokes for (or on) me tend to have that masterful subtlety that leaves me laughing and unable to explain why in a way that makes any sense to the rest of the human universe.

I find this to be true as well... there are some things that I cannot even begin to describe in words. I don't hear many descriptions done by people where they experience things in a slowed down way... slow-motion style. I think that this sort of thing has happened to me ever since nearly getting rolled over in my car on the highway driving home on July 5th, 1998... I had a very odd instance right before nearly rolling over where I thought it was the end and yes, your life sort of does go reel to reel, time slowed down. Very odd. Again, I think words fail me.

Yes. It's not that it is difficult to find words, it's that it is difficult to find words that have the same significance.

Well, it is traditional for time to slow down to give one the opportunity to contemplate approaching death; I've certainly been there a time or two myself. Since I'm still here, it was probably exactly the right number of times...
