I have to agree with you on the "what will be will be" attitude. It's a helpful perspective when faced with something that you really just can't change (thinking death and disease here mostly... no point in agonizing that you can't rescue someone from cancer or old age). But when it comes to making our lives what we want them to be, that's work! Relationships too
