Sickbay -- Day 10, evening [backdated & private/finished]
It was on the late side for the CMO to be working away in Sickbay. Even better, it was supposed to be Leonard's day off. But leave it to an underling -- Anderson, specifically, again -- to royally fuck up something as simple as a growth culture. Except this culture -- synthflesh for grafting purposes -- was anything but simple. And his underlings were usually anything but stooges. He didn't get what the hell was Anderson's problem. Perhaps he was a holdover from Piri.
Well, whatever. Leonard had managed to save three-fourths of the culture. It hadn't been a complete loss. Or he'd be here overnight.
Comp Lab 3 now in testing stage and locked down, it was time to finally clean up after himself. Rather pissed off, he'd sent back nearly everybody to their quarters. Almost got in a literal pecking fight with Zosto about going home early, but the nurse was gonna be on alpha tomorrow while the away team was on Bacchus II. So that just left Leonard by himself right now. Suited him just fine. After making sure he was alone, he threw in a datachip into one of the 'Bay's computers. Called up a menu and browsed through the options. Choose something mild and hit a button. Gently, the medbay filled with slow, swaying music. He grinned to himself and began working. At some point, he began swaying a little himself. Next song found him quietly singing along.
