The Washington Post today has an article about savetoby.com, which I was previously unaware of.

I was unable to resist going to the site, where I read some of the hate mail he's received. It's really pretty hilarious -- I especially enjoyed the one from someone who wrote, "if people actually fall for this stupid scam....you're more moronic than ( Read more... )

The people who donate are only doing so because they think it's really funny. Personally, if I had a dollar to waste, I'd give. :p

Snopes did a thing on this. Apparently, you can't donate anyway, it's not actually set up to let you.

I actually love rabbits. We had one when I was a kid; Snowball. They are sweet, cuddly, kind, and smell very nice. Even their poop comes in small easy to deal with capsules.

They also taste very good. Shotgun blast to the head makes it quick, and they are quite tasty.

No problem with the site; hope the bunny tastes good.

I surfed over for a *completely* different reason, but the "free Toby" website caught my eye...and off guard. Holy crap....it reminds me of the "Larry the Lobster" episode of Saturday Night Live.

Anyway, the reason I am posting is because I've figured out that this *has* to be Sonja from Penn State Atherton Hall, right? I don't know if you remember me...my name is Rachel, and I hung out in Atherton with a number of folks we have in common on our FLists. I know we didn't know each other extremely well, but I always thought you were cool and interesting and thought I'd say "Hello". :D
