and any talking shit out that you want to do? DO. I bet I'm not the only one who will happily, happily read it and chat as much as you like. And yes, it is definitely frustrating when shit you hoped was sorted refuses to STAY sorted.
We're catching up to, oh, LOADS OF OTHER COUNTRIES WHO HAVEN'T DIED OF THE GAYS. *twirls you*
I think it's more... disappointing? than anything. Something that shouldn't matter because it's still me, and that's just a facet of me, so obviously does matter. SIGH. But ilu, and knowing that awesome people like you are here? That makes me pretty lucky. *is maudlin all over the place*
WELCOME TO THE 21ST CENTURY, AMERICAN MILITARY! :D
It's not the only thing about you, but damn right it still matters! That's not being pathetic, that's called "straight people get to have that aspect of their lives make sense, even when it's confusing, and have respect and understanding from other people be expected, not a bonus, and dammit it would be nice to have that too". Figuring out one's one sexuality and attitudes to it is difficult enough for straight people, and straight people get to yak and yak and yak about it and have books and TV shows and films by the THOUSANDS about it... of course you're allowed to still have it matter!
Hells to the yes, I'm up for all those things. I mean, we may have to add Gerard's stupid fucking face to the list, but that's negotiable. *cliiiiiings*
*HUGE, HUGE, HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE HUGS* It does take them a while - it would have taken mine WAY LONGER had I not done the whole move in w/gf and then MARRY her thing. TRUST ME. It's sad and frustrating that we have to be the ones to push this shit, you know?
Yeah, I mean, after you GET MARRIED TO A LADY it's kind of hard to ignore. At that point. Is the thing.
I'm just. Ugh. I'm really tired of it being this giant, awkward, gay elephant in the room, y'know? LET'S EMBRACE IT AND MOVE ON, LIKE THE MILITARY HAS. \o/
