V. The Fifth Day [Phone]

I have a question - is it possible for the things we are returned to be mixed up. Like the mail was delivered to the wrong address? I think they might have given me someone else's package. The card says...18 times 365 times 24. Like a math equation. This is beyond bizarre

[Because what the hell is she doing getting a card saying "18 years x 365 ( Read more... )

post office is dumb, this is asumu's fault, *iceland, *beatrice, *jessica u., anti-magic for the win, *maria u., !phone, *kinzo u., more envious than you, *ange u.

[God please don't let it be a riddle. Your riddles are hard enough Kinzo :|]

No, I'm fairly sure it isn't. It's just a mathematical equation it seems.

[She thinks. The only number that has any significance is 18. The number of years she...]

Perhaps that may be so. What did you receive, Father, if you can indulge my curiosity.

I was told that they can be very disturbing or strange sometimes, but nobody said anything about them being mixed up.

This isn't exactly disturbing, albeit it is strange. [A sigh] I wonder if it might be possible.

I hope not. Seeing someone else run around with some of my things would be annoying.

I would feel the same way. I don't think anyone would willingly take something that isn't rightfully theirs.

Uu-? Maria's mail came to Maria! Maybe it's a puzzle, gotta solve it. Like... [Oh dear, the girl's trying to solve math.]

Uu-! It's 72!

[...Maria is definitely not 72.]

It's alright, Maria-chan. I'm not sure why I got a puzzle, but I'll gladly solve it. [But she's going to need a pen and paper, sob.] What did Maria-chan get?

[But... She didn't know what times meant so she just added, but 365 was too big so she turned it to 30!]

Maria got her dress!

[And by that, she means her witch outfit.]

[ oh, she knows exactly what those numbers mean... and the fact that she regained that--- but this phone call, just the fact that she's asking about this also confirms that kyrie isn't lying- she really doesn't remember. obviously, if she were to remember, she'd know the meaning of those numbers and keep the fact that she recieved this to herself, right? even jessica is smart enough to figure that one out. still... it's definitely very, very weird that she doesn't remember. ]

I, I never heard of anything like that... but I wouldn't really know, I guess it's possible that they got your package mixed up, h-hahahah...

Hm. I suppose so. [Kyrie who doesn't remember Rokkenjima doesn't suspect anything!] What did you get in the mail, Jessica-chan? Something good I hope.

Oh, well, see, I didn't check my mail yet, s-so, I don't know! [ actually, she didn't get anything in the mail at all but nobody needs to know that ]

[Pausing a moment. Yeah, this is creepy even for Mayfield standards.]

Ah... It would be a little complicared to explain in full detail.

Eh? You think you know something about this mix up?

[She says this with half curiosity and a little bit of worrying. Because if Ange somehow knew about her jealously towards Asumu...yeah it could get bad.]

... Do those numbers seem familiar to you?

[Read alll about that and explaining how she knows would be a pain.]

[She thinks. Would it be wise to tell Ange something like...but at the same time, what if her daughter already knew. 12 years is a long time and there might be some source of information that knows about her jealously that she just isn't recalling right now.]

...Yes.
