March pictures.

Long overdue. I was running around and doing quite a lot of stuff during March, but I think I need to pick another time to slowly go through any of it in more detail. For now, accept my humble pictures.

If you have the time to spare, send me a happy thought? Thank you. ♥

A whole slew of pictures! )

Ginkakuji looks frighteningly gorgeous & beautiful. How lucky that your eyes got to soak up all the ambience! Color me envious ( ... )

So many happy thoughts - thank you!!!! :)

Oh my gosh, so I really think egg + rice is one of the best comfort foods ever, but maybe I'm just weird. In any case, I love any type of donburi (but especially katsudon) and bibimbap, too. ♥

The drink is just one of the dozens of coffee drinks that you can find at convenience stores in Japan. :)

Heehee. Food can be fun.

I snuck back to Korea House the other night so I could have their weekly special again (the kim chi fried rice w/ egg) and I thought about what you said, it being a comfort food.

Often when I go to nicer restaurants I'll order their specials, which frequently are (American) comfort foods. I think I'm one of the few people who will voluntarily eat meatloaf w/ mashers!

Dolset Bim Bim Bap? :-9~~~ ::foodgasm:: The smells and tastes that radiate from that fiery stone bowl is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! This summer I'm going to try it cold, but I think I'll skip the egg on top since it won't cook. (Samonella, don'tchaknow.)

Coffee drinks! How funny! I always think tea when I think of Eastern countries. But, uh, sure... why not! Starbucks needs to expand anyway! ;-)

BTW, when you have a moment, drop me an email (on my info page under 'email'). I have something I'd like to send you.... because getting fun mail is more fun that food sometimes! :-)

I was in Kyoto for two or three days when I was sixteen, too! In any case, I'm glad that I was able to bring you some nostalgia.

And the food here is pretty amazing in general - I feel spoiled sometimes. :P
