Jumbled stuff, just for you.

I want to do something with my life. I have some problems with balance-since getting back from Beijing, I’ve been nervously and greedily eating all sorts of sweets and other foods, sitting on my butt & watching multiple episodes in a row of How I Met Your Mother…wait, this doesn’t sound too good, does it? I sound like a weird couch potato. I say ( Read more... )

How do I deal with photos in public places?

I more go on the mood, or vibe, that I'm getting at the time.

If people are going to be included in the photo, I generally ask.

If the photos are just inanimate objects, I usually just snap away.

A friend of mine (who is a professional cinematographer http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0055058/) has a motto: Shoot first, apologize later!

I know you are busy, and you post infrequently, but I always enjoy your posts. Turning down Shanghai? What a luxury to even be able to say that! :-)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, maybe I can just pretend I don't understand what they're saying in Japanese. Dunno if that would mean I'd get off more easily if they were truly annoyed, but I'd know after trying a few times, haha.

You're a pretty young lady. Try a smile, big doe eyes and --- this is the important element --- tilt you head a bit to one side.

You could rule the world with this basic technique!

I'm so enyivous that you have a sibling! The idea of sharing stuff with someone who can relate specifically to how I was raised and the going-ons inside my immediate family is very foreign to me.

I have a furry little sister but I can't really process anything with her :)

Yeah, I have to admit that it helps and is possibly worth all the arguing that we've gone through in the past (and that we may still go through one day *knock on wood*). I have a really hard time when I'm upset about something, but there's no one to share my experience or affirm how I feel--I just end up thinking I'm the one who's problematic and that it's my fault. I don't know, though, sometimes being the only child doesn't sound too bad! You didn't have to go through certain issues. I once had a friend tell me (as a random out-of-the-blue observation) that she was pretty sure my parents loved my siblings more than they loved me. ...yeah. Anyhow, I guess my point is that there's a silver lining to most situations! (I'll stop talking now, but HI! I've been thinking about you, especially since your last post, and I hope you're doing okay)
