Language issues

I’m not tolerant at all when 99% of Japanese people speak to me in English, especially when it’s only to to say simple stuff like, “This is traditional Japanese food!” or “Isn’t it cold?”  You think I was a Japanese literature major and went to an intensive 10-month program and still can’t understand that much?  There’s that very special and ( Read more... )

Perhaps replying in Japanese when you are talked to in English is a one of going about it?! :-/

I usually reply in English if I don't want to speak in my native tongue.

Hmm, no...even if I reply in Japanese (and I don't think I'm that bad at it!), people will speak English at me. Maybe it's to be kind? :(
