I really kind of hate St. Patrick's Day. Facebook just analyzed my date of birth and informed me that my style of humor is "campy". Not knowing what that meant, exactly, I wikipedia-ed it, and lo and behold, I am indeed campy.

According to Susan Sontag, I am no longer the best kind of campy, though, because apparently being aware that one is campy makes one less satisfyingly campy.

The mountain is melting down into the village, turning all of the sidewalks into enormous puddles of slush and dirty water. I didn't wear a coat to work today. It's currently 53F (12C) outside. Yes, that's right, FIFTY-FUCKING-THREE. And it is apparently 73F (23C) in Denver ( Read more... )
