Just do it.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. It is especially easier when you have nothing to lose.

I recall a young man who, at that spur of the moment, bought plane tickets because he felt like it was a good idea (at the time). If things go well, you'll have no regrets. If things don't go as planned, you just roll with the punches. Decisions in life seldom have permanently devastating effects that cling onto you for all eternity. You're a strong woman, I know that you'll persevere.

btw, how are you otherwise? we need to catch up.

I know exactly how you feel. My whole life is about putting off things. Right now I'm refusing to think about my evaluation next week. Ick... I wish they could evaluate us through a 2-way mirror instead of coming in with the clipboard and observing us teach.
