I was half expecting/hoping the movie would go this way, so I'm glad your fix is just right. Also, I was worried Phil was upset about the whole charade--which wouldn't be right--but he would totes be pissed about losing his vintage cards!!

Also, lols about the alien beaver, and the team needing a zookeeper. :D

I literally spent the whole movie hoping. As much as I loved the after-credits stuff, I was sad there was no Phil. And of course Phil would understand the need for deception (he's SHIELD to the core) but those cards were VINTAGE, come on.

So when rewatching Avengers tonight, I was thinking about this fic to avoid being as sad when PHILLLLLL but then I almost had an entirely inappropriate burst-out-laughing moment when Fury threw the bloody cards on the table and I was just picturing Phil being so mad... "Vintage, sir. Nearly mint." :D
