I am going to post every day before I leave because I think it's important I get in the habit of journaling. If anyone actually reads this, I apologize for the inevitable brunt of lousy writing that will come of this task. Be assured I endeavor to improve ( Read more... )

Yay for more posting! You're a damned good writer as it is, so I doubt you have much to worry about in the way of "lousy writing". ((grins)) I just wanted to say that the whole fear of worms thing is what's keeping another of my friends out of the Peace Corps. ((wry grin)) Sorry I haven't done such a good job of keeping in touch lately. This semester-- and other things-- practically killed me, so little things like human interaction and talking with friends sort of fell to the wayside.

This makes me think of you! Check out where the study took place ...

You know Jehann had a huge fear of worms, so much so that she needed to skip classes every time it rained in Canton (you know the sidewalk situation? ick.) I'm considering taking along equine dewormers. Heh.

Does your NYC-Buffalo route take you through Albany? I could coincide a visit with my godparents if you wanted to break up the trip and camp there with me -- don't stress about it, though. Would be nice to see you but you might be traveled out at that point. Not sure if you knew this already, but there's a Chinese bus that goes between NYC and Boston for like $20. Also I bet Dan will want to meet up with you -- I can exchange your info but it's up to you whether you want me to!

After NYC, I was considering going up to Albany anyways-- Amanda from SLU lives there now and she suggested a visit, too. We'll see how my budget can handle it, but given that it'll be the last chance I get to see you before you go to South America, I'm pretty sure I'd want to!

As far as my stay in NYC goes, I will actually physically be staying in Jersey, which will probably make meetups with Dan a wee bit difficult. But, depending on how well the trip goes and whether or not my hosts are willing to tolerate me again, I'll probably be heading back down in May once school lets out. Much better weather for wandering around in and being left to do things on my own than January. :)

Lastly, re: article location-- heh. And double heh. And my grades would be a lot lower if I didn't pull all-nighters-- the work would never get done, otherwise!
