I always say I am never up before 8 AM unless I have an early appointment or a flight to catch.

Doing...hmmm...preparing for a weekend away this week. We have an anniversary celebration for friends at mutual friend's home and a cooking day with said mutual friends on Saturday (we each prepare a dish while we're there) and then an art walk on Sunday. All at our mountaintop friend's home.

Today I took myself out for a good long drive in the Mini, got caught in three downpours, and was duly horrified to see the Christmas things out at Costco. Not even the good stuff, like the vanilla beans and the big bottles of lemon and almond extract! Tonight after yoga I certainly mean to have another early night, with drinking chocolate spiked with rum and a piece of shortbread.
