As soon as we determined that it was all right for me to greet the doggo, there was delighted bouncing (but no jumping up!) and happy "Hi! Hi! This is my farm! It smells great! Come look at this!" noises.
How delightful! And how wonderful that wreath must smell.
Oh, there's your seal ornament! I do quite like it. That was an excellent buying trip in itself.
The little finial at the top (meant for a string to hang it on the tree) makes the ornament just taller than the painted Dala horse. As it has a garland drawn in glitter over the glass, I suppose a bit of the glitter could come off, but that would be far easier to clean up!
A proper wreath! I remember those from my childhood. Dad would go to the Christmas tree lot down by church and order one from the tree guys. They smelled so wonderful...as I got older of course fake wreaths came into vogue and that was that. They don't do wreaths here or fresh trees for that matter.
Hmmm...I think I need to see picture of your tree! :D
We bought our wreath from a local crafter at a farm. Like you say - fresh and pretty and cost less than a well known supermarket! Supporting local businesses is our priority these days ;)
As far as I can, I've tried to buy things here on the island this year: the posties and other delivery folk are run off their feet just now, and I want the yarn store (and its delicious tea selection) and the bookshop to stay open!
I had a live wreath given me as a gift from my neighbor one year--it was lovely and had a lovely scent, but I made the mistake of hanging it on the front door, where it showered needles down every time I went in or out. I got tired of sweeping up needles. I have a nice artificial one that suits me better. I can get the scent from all the cedar trees outdoors--this year, I guess because it's been so warm, they really are putting out a lovely aroma (and are probably what's making me sneeze, but oh well).

I'll take one later if the sun stays out long enough!

This one has shed a couple of needles - I'm very surprised at how tidy it's been thus far.
