Not a completely unproductive day

Jan 16, 2022 19:14

While looking for some veg to have with tonight's supper, I found an unsealed bag of green beans - with a "best before" date of July 2019. *facepalm* Welp, I needed to take the kitchen scraps can downstairs anyway, and now there is more space in the freezer. ARGH

Peas it is.

You have reminded me I need to check dates on some of my tinned food!

Yeah, that's a little past prime, isn't it. XD It's too easy to lose things in the bag or the bottom of the freezer.

At least it wasn't a whole bag full of beans *sigh*

I keep putting off checking dates on the freezer food and I'll bet I have some pre-2019 stuff.
*looks sheepish*

I just cracked and consumed a half-cup of mango sorbet dated September 2021. It was good. The other two cartons are dated April and July '22. There's battered fish fingers--and chicken fingers in there though that have to be eaten soon. I don't even like battered whatever fingers, but it seemed like such a good idea standing in front of the frozen foods in the store.
