By which I mean it is cold; I have had to move my potted bay tree into the entryway. We have a dusting of snow; Goddaughter K. had a power outage and couldn't get out of the driveway on the first go, and Camano Island (in between Whidbey, where she lives, and the mainland) got six inches

Only offering gluten free on two days a week seems patently unfair to celiacs in the neighborhood. :/

There are quite a few people locally who would enjoy a treat like that, so I'm really surprised that it's only on offer two days a week.

It's fun to have someone who texts to say "Hey, I need food, it will be boring to trudge around the aisles by myself, come with?" And it's someone you're willing to do that with, because it will be time spent in their company and they've sought yours out. :D

Today was "Launder everything on the bed what's washable" day, and I've got both duvets out and the wool yoga blankets to put at our feet if they aren't sufficient.

It's still winter...bah humbug.

I haven't been at a Starbucks in years and years. We have loads of them here but not in our neighbourhood and it's not worth going into town for that. But but but...pistachio lattes???
Hmmmmm...

Gluten-free food only twice a week isn't going to help the business all that much.

We wouldn't have bothered if the place hadn't been on our way to the grocer's and H. had that gift card going unused. They were very good lattes. *g*

The bakery that produces them is in Port Orchard, which isn't that much of a drive. Perhaps they're doing a trial run? I dunno, but I have not been well served donut wise since moving to the island.
