"Are you really asking me this?"

Physical went fine, though apparently I am now in the age group in which questions about the state of my bowels are routine :-( All numbers are excellent, the annual booby squish is due next month, we spent a bit of time chatting about how well either of us was holding up - her nanny has gone on to the next thing, and she's working half days until ( Read more... )

Congrats on your excellent numbers! A chicken/cranberry salad croissant sounds like a scrumptious way to celebrate.

It's funny - the local Safeway has changed the offerings near the entrances to more grab-and-go sorts of things, and I was very surprised to see that as one of them, as it seems rather upmarket. It is also very delicious!

I am at the age where you can hear the 'for your age' at the end of the sentence. Your teeth are really good..... for your age. Your flexibility is excellent ...... for your age ..... LOL!😉

At least for the flexibility checks, there's mostly a lot of snickering happening: my provider's daughter does private lessons with the owner of the yoga studio, so she knows I'm a regular there.

Excellent about out the good physical! This month we have eyes and cardio and next month my much hated every 6 months boob revision. The latter is the scary one. Anyway, two sets of bloods coming up as well.

We are all of a certain age...and hopefully good for our ages.
:D

PS Yes, the house sounds lovely but you are correct. The right one for you will come up.

Boobs are - frustrating. *hugs you* May you have the good lab tech and no bruising!

We miiiiiiiiight be going up to look at something; all three of us quite like it, but it might be a case of "It's lovely, in the perfect location, and none of the furniture fits". We'll see.

I guess the one good thing about having survived BC is no more boob squishing (though I do have to put up with the discomfort--not to mention expense--of laying prone in an MRI machine for 45 minutes every 3 years. :P Boobs are just... a pain, really.)

Lake Erie... for a minute I thought I'd missed some really big news about a major change in moving plans, but I googled and learned that there's a Lake Erie in Washington. Did not know that! Very pretty little lake.

Dear Friend H. and I were musing on why they weren't designed to be detachable. "Mine were used for their designed function, and now they - mess up the line of my sweaters and make it difficult to buy fitted shirts, pretty much."

Hee! I was surprised, too. The views of the lake are quite something, but it really is too big for just the two of us to knock about in.

Hurrah for being in good health!

Looking at houses is quite fun at this point where, if you find one you like you are not just being theoretical, but can actually say 'So we will move in to it,' but you don't have to find something by the end of the month or be homeless - thank goodness!

Yes, indeed! I was very relieved.

If I hear something from my realtor, we might have a look at one - the price came down yesterday, and someone else has done the work of updating the mechanical systems and replacing the roof. But it is lovely to be able to say "We'll only move if we like it"!
