My mom just asked me to wrap my own Christmas gifts.

And we're spending Christmas Eve with her spinster Jewish friend.

And we decided not to do the whole decoration thing this year out of practicality.

Don't you hate that? My family is going in the same direction...I guess it makes sense, seeing that my Dad is Jewish...but c'mon. Not to mention, most of my gifts are really practical, out of neccesity because I am broke: metrocards, gloves...lol.

I think I only asked for practical this year, because I'm in the same boat. New coat, and second semester books. I wish I had younger cousins, or something like that to keep the tradition going.
