If the third branch had been impressive, the main library was nothing short of stunning. A vast building, constructed of smooth grey bricks, stone pillars, and a long, wide staircase leading up to the main entrance. Dairine has already found what she wants--well, about a dozen somethings, stacked up around her where she's commandeered the end of a table so that she's barely visible behind them but for the top of her bright hair.

"I can see why," she mumbles absently in response, not really taking her eyes, or her attention, off what she's reading. This is home now, this library. It's even better than the other one. Dairine is going to keep it and live in it and never, ever leave.

"Beats the hell out some 'magic book-case', doesn't it?" replied Edward, shutting the book, and sticking it back where he'd found it. He eyed the top-most shelves, grasped onto the ladder, and started to climb.

"I love it," Dairine answers honestly, barely glancing up to catch sight of him climbing up the ladder. "I want to live here. I know I said that about Third Branch, but I think I actually meant here. I just didn't know it yet."

Edward chuckled softly to himself, fingers skimming the shelves, plucking volumes here and there. "What've you found?" he asked, his eyes still fixed on the shelves. How he managed to balance on that ladder, with both his hands occupied with books, was a wonder.
